The second volume of essays by Moshe Zuckermann brings together writings from recent years, ranging from the reception of Adorno in the Middle East to reflections on authoritarian character, an analysis of the relationship between Zionism and critical theory, and a discussion of Marx's concept of culture. Although the essays are only loosely connected in terms of content, they share a common guiding idea – the continuity of emancipatory thought stemming from a critically materialist analysis. The publisher continues the series of collected essays by Zuckermann with this volume. A further, third volume is currently in progress and is set to be released in autumn 2013.
