We live in an ideological age. Even at a superficial glance at social and cultural conditions, this becomes evident. This is a manifestation of an ideological disposition, as facts are no longer acknowledged and the view of societal reality is denied. The sociocultural impact of the prevailing mediation systems far exceeds what the propaganda tools of authoritarian regimes were capable of in the past. Ideology today is the state of consciousness and unconsciousness of the masses as an objective spirit. A climate of ideological submissiveness has prevailed, contributing to an atmosphere of hopelessness and lack of perspective in large parts of society. Fredric Jameson noted that it is now easier to imagine the end of the world than the end of capitalism.
