After the end of history is before the end of history: Marx's question about the real movement that overcomes the current state remains the most important of all political-philosophical questions, even in the biocapitalist empire. Following the fundamental motifs of Foucault and Gramsci, Thomas Seibert's political philosophy demonstrates that this movement has taken the form of a profound reformation of our everyday and extraordinary ways of existence since May '68. Because it intertwines lines of social critique on one hand and artistic critique on the other, Seibert traces their paths in modern revolutionary history. From them, he derives the concepts in which they problematize their "permanence declaration" (Marx) and thus their future. Politically, this not only presents us with the challenge of updating the idea of socialism but also of communist insight.
