Product details
As one of the necessary consequences of the collapse of the financial system in 2008, Samir Amin proposes an approach to Marxist analysis. Since Marx could not provide an explanation for the persistent underdevelopment of countries in the Global South, Samir Amin develops important theoretical concepts that can expand Marxist analyses regarding the internal logic of capitalism. Born in 1931, Samir Amin is an Egyptian economist and critic of neocolonialism. He taught at the universities of Poitiers, Dakar, and Paris. Among many other activities, he was the director of the Third World Forum in Dakar.
