When history is in a regressive development, politics disappears - not to be clear, parliamentary and administrative politics, but politics as the strategic anticipation of the day after, wrote Daniel Bensaïd shortly before his death regarding the crisis of the Left at the beginning of the 21st century. In light of the crisis of neoliberalism, interest in the idea and possible practice of communism is awakening not only in academic circles. Is there a way to formulate communism as an idea, hypothesis, movement without immediately confronting the testimonies of its 'failure'? Bruno Bosteels attempts to develop this perspective. He refers to Marx's The German Ideology: 'We call communism the real movement which abolishes the present state.' Bosteels does not formulate a recipe in this regard.
