Budig, Peter-Klaus, 1948-1952: Studied electrical engineering at the Technical University of Dresden. Worked for two years as a research assistant at the Chair of Electrical Machines and Drives. 1954-1966: Transitioned to Sachsenwerk Dresden as a developer, chief technologist, and technical director. 1966-1993: Held the Chair of Electrical Machines and Drives at the Technical University of Chemnitz. During this time, conducted fundamental research in the fields of converter-fed and microelectronic-controlled electrical machines, electric vehicles, and linear motors. Since 1993: Managing director of the high-tech company Electrical Automation and Drive Technology, which serves as a foundation for new high-dynamic and high-precision innovative electric drives in research and development, where new products are created and produced. Has had work stays and lectures in China, the USA, England, Estonia, and Russia.
