Pierre and Nora, two who belong together, talk and remain silent together, argue and make up, make plans and then discard them - until Pierre crashes his car into disaster and nothing is the same as before. Their story begins between the slanted walls at Göttingen's Goldgraben, where on clear days a square of the starry sky sparkles through the skylight. Pierre studies physics, Nora art history, and when she says, "Yes, I want to stay with you," she believes it will be forever. But the accident that leaves Pierre seriously injured throws Nora off course. An unending nightmare begins. She cannot forgive herself for having parted in anger before the tragedy struck. Will she ever find her way out of the labyrinth of pain and guilt? Perhaps even be able to talk about love again?.
