The book "Large-Scale Scientific Computing" brings together the contributions from the third International Conference on Large-Scale Scientific Computing, which took place in 2001 in Sozopol, Bulgaria. This conference was organized by the Central Laboratory for Parallel Processing of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and the Department of Numerical Analysis and Statistics at the University of Ruse. The aim of the conference was to bring together scientists and professionals dealing with large computational problems in industry and the development of efficient numerical methods.
