We all know them, this collection of 350 unbaked clay figures that began in 1981, capturing moments that burst with spirit and cheerfulness. Most recently, they were the highlight of the Venice Biennale in 2013, displayed in a labyrinthine arrangement on white pedestals in the main hall of the central pavilion. These are sketchily modeled situations and objects from everyday life that reveal the absurdity and constructed normality of the ordinary, featuring events from history, culture, entertainment, sports, and memories of one's own biography. The titles, marked by subtle mockery and serious irony, are an integral part of the work. For the first time, all 350 sculptures are presented in perfectly colored images.
