In November 2007, a nationally significant child protection case occurred in Schwerin. The professionals working in the youth welfare office were particularly blamed: Why was it not possible to prevent the death of five-year-old Lea-Sophie? The book outlines how, together with the professionals from the youth welfare office of the city of Schwerin and selected practice partners, and with the involvement of the family members of the deceased child, the case was reconstructed using the method of dialogical-systemic case laboratories, drawing lessons for child protection work.
