Traditional customs are undergoing change, but they are by no means outdated. Many customs are still integrated into the church year, some have evolved into folk festivals, while others have completely fallen into oblivion or are being revived. Jutta Tappeiner has set herself the goal of exploring these changes together with the South Tyrolean farmers' wives. This has resulted in a book that, with concise texts and rich imagery, provides an overview of the most important customs still practiced today in South Tyrol - a reference work, picture book, and guide all in one volume.
