The development of TeX did not necessarily prioritize the graphical capabilities of the system. Therefore, TeX itself only has rudimentary graphical elements, which were expanded with the introduction of LaTeX, but are still not satisfactory. The packages that are all grouped under the synonym PSTricks provide a remedy here by offering the user everything that constitutes high-quality graphics, from simple lines to curves, three-dimensional representations, trees, nodes, diagrams, and so on. This is demonstrated through countless examples, all of which are fully accompanied by the underlying code. Working at the PostScript level does not impose any restrictions on outputting in PDF format. Various methods are presented to output a single graphic or the entire document in PDF format.
