Since health education is in the interest of public health policy, it is carried out in Germany as an overarching ongoing task by all levels of government, involving those affected. The Federal Centre for Health Education (BZgA) takes on this responsibility at the federal level as a specialist authority within the Federal Ministry of Health. The German edition of the work is published by the BZgA. In this context, the content has not only been translated but also reviewed by experts and adapted or supplemented appropriately for a German audience. The successful textbook on health promotion explains the fundamentals and concepts of health, health education, and health promotion, as well as the ethical and political aspects for practice, in an easily understandable manner.
