Ondrej Sekora was born in 1899 near Brno. He was a Czech journalist, painter, and illustrator. In 1935, he created the character of Ant Ferdinand and invented stories around him, which quickly became successful and have retained their charm to this day. Ondrej Sekora passed away in 1967 in Prague.
