The new training occupation of Metal Technology Specialist, introduced on April 2, 2013, came into effect on August 1, 2013. The training duration is two years. The profession is divided into four specializations: assembly technology, construction technology, machining technology, and forming and wire technology. Companies have the option to choose between these specializations. Each company makes the decision for the appropriate specialization based on its specific needs. Regardless of the chosen specialization, the intermediate examination is identical for all specializations. The PAL guide for the intermediate examination contains general information about the contents of the regulation from April 2, 2013, outlines and overviews developed by the responsible PAL specialist committee, as well as a complete set of written and practical sample tasks with all necessary information for replication.
