The two main characters, Leon and Jelena, attend kindergarten together. Here, they are allowed to participate in many everyday decisions and activities, such as how to better organize breakfast or how to resolve the dispute over the tricycles that many children want to use at the same time. Through this, they learn a lot about how to shape a community so that everyone gets their fair share. The individual volumes vividly and age-appropriately illustrate how Leon and Jelena can experience their social engagement early on. The five titles are: - The New Climbing Tower - A Place for Breakfast - The Tricycle Stop - Jelena in the Children's Parliament - The Dog Waste in the Park. The New Climbing Tower: The climbing frame is broken and needs to be torn down. The children from all three groups gather suggestions on what the new equipment should look like.
