Mathematics and logic puzzles go well together, as both areas require skills such as extracting information from a text, establishing relationships, combining elements, and drawing conclusions. A combination of detective-like intuition and mathematical tasks challenges students on two levels simultaneously and fosters a love for mathematics, even among those students who may otherwise struggle with this subject or find it difficult to engage with. To give third graders the opportunity to use the math logic puzzles, calculations are primarily focused on the number range up to 1000. However, most logic puzzles are quite demanding, so the main focus of use is on grades 4-6. Nevertheless, since the range of abilities in our classes is typically very broad, high-performing third graders are also included.
