Product details

Nominated for the Mercury Music Prize 2017, "Let Them Eat Chaos" is Kate Tempest's new long poem, written for live performances and also featured on the album of the same name. It serves as both a powerful sermon and a moving play for voices. Seven neighbors live on the same street in London, yet remain unknown to each other. The clock stands still in the early morning hours, and one by one, we take a direct look into their lives: lives that are damaged, disenfranchised, lonely, broken, addicted, and seemingly without hope. Then a great storm breaks over London, leading them out into the night to confront each other – and their last chance to connect. Tempest argues that our alienation from one another has produced a terrible indifference towards our own fate, yet she counters this with a call to challenge the forces of greed that have conspired to divide us, and to repair the broken home of our planet while we still can.
