Fabio Pusterla, born in 1957 in Mendrisio, lives in Northern Italy and teaches at a high school in Lugano. He is primarily known as a poet, but also as a translator and editor of poetry from French and Portuguese, as well as an essayist. In 2007, he was awarded the Gottfried Keller Prize and in 2013, he received the Swiss Literature Prize for his body of work.
