More than twenty years after the anthology "Mit zärtlichem Wahnsinn / Con tenera follia," edited by Maja Pflug, Christoph Ferber presents us with a new, valuable selection from Alberto Nessi's lyrical work. Some of the approximately seventy poems are from "Il colore della malva" (1992), while others come from the newer collections: "Blu cobalto con cenere" (2000), "Ladro di minuzie" (2010), "Un sabato senza dolore" (2016), and "Ogni oltraggio" (2017). The volume also includes some previously unpublished poems. In "Blätter und Blässhühner / Foglie e folaghe," the reader will find the poet's familiar themes: the brotherly dedication to the last, the losers, the marginalized, familial bonds, nature (especially flowers), and art. However, one also discovers a poet who, while remaining true to his forms such as the narrative poem or the epigram, continues to evolve.
