Friedrich Glauser's literary work emerged against the backdrop of his extraordinary biography. However, only a few people who encountered him during his life have put their memories on paper. These texts are published here alongside photographs of his girlfriend Berthe Bendel, her sister Hulda Messmer, himself, and Gotthard Schuh. Emmy Ball-Hennings met Friedrich Glauser while she was guarding the cash register at the Dada Gallery. J. R. von Salis got to know him in Paris in the 1930s. The psychiatrist Max Müller was Glauser's doctor and psychoanalyst at the Münsingen Clinic. Ernst and Martha Messmer visited their sister Berthe in France, where she had moved with her fiancé Friedrich Glauser. Berthe Bendel recounts how she met him and describes her difficulty in finding a position as a psychiatric nurse.
