For the first time, a representative anthology featuring unpublished and published poems by the Ticinese poet, artist, and performer Franco Beltrametti (1937-1995) is being released. Friendships and encounters with poets and artists from the Italian and American avant-garde shaped his life and work. This "traveler in poetry" (Stefan Hyner) wrote in Italian, English, and French, and simultaneously created images that are partly accompanied by texts in these languages. His poems, committed to the poetry of everyday life—some condensed like haikus, others narrative or playful with language—reflect the nomadic existence of this author. They are characterized by lightness and a "grace of the useless" (Beltrametti). "For me, every poem is a spiritual (or shamanic) journey that one can undertake again and again.".
