At the entrance of the post office building lies a dead man, a rejected asylum seeker. Without much motivation, police officer Schenker begins the work of solving the murder. Initial clues lead to the Kurdish singer Kalo Baran, who has been living in Switzerland for years and is married to a Swiss woman. Baran knows more than he initially reveals. Later, he communicates in images that are difficult for the police to understand. However, Schenker becomes increasingly fascinated and simultaneously unsettled by the foreign world that unfolds before him during his investigation. In his new novel, set in a small town, Yusuf Yesilöz takes the reader deep into various social environments. He does not shy away from pointing out inconsistencies - including those within migrant circles - with a wink. With subtle humor and in gentle tones, he illustrates that both the foreigner and the Swiss woman exist.
