The study grammar aims to view the Hebrew Bible through the eyes of beginners who are thrown into confusion and wonder by their first encounter with this new and foreign world. The goal of this grammar is to transform these feelings of awe and admiration, as well as the strangeness into familiarity. It seeks to help structure and organize impressions and questions, providing a means to uncover the beauty, depth, and conciseness of the Hebrew language. Therefore, it consciously refrains from a detailed presentation of linguistic and phonetic history, which would overwhelm students in the initial phase rather than clarify. Grammar is nothing more than a descriptive system that reflects and organizes observations of linguistic reality. Grammar is not creative; it does not establish rules by which language operates.
