The authors of this book aim to support teachers in purposefully promoting the development of their learners' literacy and communication skills. They invite teachers to become more aware of their use of methods in the classroom and to implement new techniques in their teaching. The results of a research project conducted by Philipps University Marburg are published for the first time in a comprehensive manner under the title "Literacy in the Foreign Language German." The three-year project, Alphamar, was funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research.
