Wilhelm Weigand (1862 - 1949) was a German poet and writer, as well as the first significant author from Tauberfranken, the Baden Franconia region, with literary ties to Mainfranken. His works are influenced by French Romanticism and the Italian Renaissance and can be classified within the era of Neo-Romanticism and Realism. The present work is an unaltered reprint of the original edition from 1909.
