Product details
Jakob Christoph Heer (1859 - 1925) was a Swiss writer who combined stylistic elements of the regional novel with criticism of modern technology and tourism in his works. The entertaining, richly dynamic plots of his high mountain novels focus on the challenges of a love that overcomes all obstacles and the encroachment of technology into the untouched mountain world. In doing so, Heer attempts to reconcile nature and tradition with technology and the spirit of the times. This is a reprint of the original edition from 1921.
