Product details
Pseudepigraphy is the deliberate false attribution of authorship of a text, usually written in the name of a well-known personality or associated with them. Today's critical biblical research assumes that parts of the New and Old Testaments are pseudepigraphical. Emil Kautzsch, one of the founders of the interdenominational German Society for the Exploration of Palestine and a significant Protestant theologian, delves into the question of the pseudepigraphical writings of the Old Testament in this foundational work. It was considered a standard work well into the 20th century. This is a reprint of the original edition from 1900.
