Ernst von Aster was born on February 18, 1880, in Berlin. The German philosopher taught at the University of Giessen after his own studies in Munich. In 1933, he was sent into exile in Sweden for political reasons. Later, he lived in Turkey, where he received teaching assignments. As a historian of philosophy, Aster presents a clear representation of philosophical and physical concepts of time and space in the following work. He passed away on October 22, 1948, in Stockholm. Original edition from 1922.
