Otto Roquette (1824 - 1896) is considered a typical representative of the pre-March stained glass lyric. His works became extraordinarily popular after 1850 and enjoyed great acclaim. He was also active as a storyteller, playwright, and literary historian. The present work is an unaltered reprint of the 1864 edition.
