Product details

In criminology, there is a need to find approaches to the phenomenon of criminology. One approach is to examine crime through the lens of literature. Literary texts have unique characteristics. In particular, they convey not only direct content but also additional meanings, that is, statements that cannot be directly expressed through language but contain supplementary messages. This book develops an analytical method that captures these additional meanings as well. Since the anthropological background and cultural context of the author of the literary text and the reader are similar, the results, while subjective, are by no means arbitrary. It becomes evident that considering these additional meanings can provide insights that cannot be obtained through the conventional analytical methods typically used in criminology.
