Product details

Information about the Author The late Richard P. Feynman was the Richard Chace Tolman Professor of Theoretical Physics at the California Institute of Technology. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in 1965 for his work on the development of quantum field theory. He was also one of the most well-known and beloved figures of the twentieth century, both in physics and in the public eye. Blurb "The whole thing was basically an experiment," Richard Feynman said late in his career as he reflected on the origins of his lectures. The experiment turned out to be extremely successful and led to publications that have remained foundational and introductory to physics for decades. From the fundamental principles of Newtonian physics to such advanced theories as general relativity and quantum mechanics, Feynman's lectures are a monument to clear presentation and deep insight. Timeless and collectible.
