Secures screws, nuts, threaded rods and other thread-bearing parts against loosening due to vibrations, such as those that occur in pumps, gearboxes or presses, and at the same time provides a seal. It can be dismantled using normal tools and is suitable for all metals, including passive materials such as stainless steel, aluminium and galvanised surfaces. It has proven to be tolerant of minor oily contamination from industrial oils, including engine, anti-corrosion and cutting oils.
