Product details

For some time now, Peter Paul Wiplinger has been creating "box texts." This means he labels boxes that appeal to him in their shape, often using unfolded or torn pieces as writing surfaces, with texts that flow out of his mind, starting from a word source, almost without thinking, which he then writes down. Many of these texts are prompted by current events. "Box Texts" is a peculiar and idiosyncratic book. It includes images and transcriptions of autographs written on boxes and shaped box fragments, using various thicknesses of felt-tip pens, fountain pens, or pencils. These are texts that have their occasion, their trigger for manifesting in this form, in current events, in the reality of events, or in the reality of memory; or even in the author's imaginative world.
