Product details
The grotesque crime story "Lord Arthur Savile's Crime" by Oscar Wilde (1854-1900) carries the subtitle "A Study of Duty." Indeed, Lord Savile is a man of duty. When he is foretold that he will commit a murder, he postpones his upcoming wedding to fulfill this duty. However, several attempts at murder fail. Only through an absurd twist of fate does the completely desperate Lord manage to bring the prediction to fruition. The volume also includes the shorter stories "The Sphinx Without a Secret" and "The Model Millionaire.".
