Chinese medicine, with its over 6000-year history, has a fundamentally different approach to thinking compared to our Western medicine. The now widely known Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is also the result of an attempt in the 1950s to adapt Eastern medicine to the West. This book focuses on the original, classical Chinese medicine (KCM) as it was shaped and taught during the Han dynasty in China. The classical method of treatment has always followed the idea of being integrated into nature, the cosmos, and the Dao. This seemingly foreign approach often provides a pathway to one's own recovery and healing that is far more effective than in other medical disciplines.
