The "Dao De Jing" (old spelling: Tao Te King) is world literature. Written by the "Old Master Laozi," it is one of the oldest and most well-known books on Earth. Although there are dozens of translations and commentaries on it, this commentary by Master Jan Silberstorff is completely different. Master Silberstorff did not comment on the Dao De Jing from his sinological knowledge, although that certainly helped him, but rather through his more than 25 years of meditative practice experience. He is one of the few Western masters who truly deserve this title. In addition to his international teaching activities, he has predominantly practiced the Daoist-influenced Chen-style Taijiquan and Buddhist meditation in silence and seclusion for decades. He has also dedicated himself to Christian mysticism.
