Little Louis spends the winter holiday with his family in the mountains. As a beginner on skis, he has to deal with many challenges that even experienced winter sports enthusiasts know well: arrogant slope bullies, unexpectedly steep descents, tricky ski lifts, and wet socks! Louis' innocent gaze exposes the contradictions of adults who seek relaxation on groomed slopes while being stressed, and on top of that, he has to contend with his arrogant older sister. But when things get tough, his childlike imagination always comes to his rescue. Guy Delisle demonstrates with "Louis Goes Skiing" that he can skillfully create a humorous comic that relies entirely on visuals, in addition to his autobiographical works. Despite this limitation, the artist manages to provide a sharp perspective on winter sports.
