Product details

The book "Low Power UWB CMOS Radar Sensors" addresses the challenges in developing cost-effective CMOS radar sensors. It focuses on the use of Ultra-Wideband (UWB) signals to achieve adequate target separation capabilities while keeping the maximum signal frequency below 2 GHz. This frequency is well within the capabilities of current CMOS technologies. However, the use of UWB signals requires new approaches, as conventional methods for processing narrowband signals are not applicable. The book provides a comprehensive analysis of the interactions between UWB signals, antennas, and processing circuits, leading to valuable insights into the suitable types of antennas and circuits. Additionally, a methodology for evaluating the noise performance of UWB processing circuits is presented, which is used for the analysis and design of the radar transmitter components. To validate the developed methodology, a CMOS prototype is created and experimentally evaluated.
