You can't be a punk forever. But what then? Ole is 40, was once a punk, a ladies' man, and successful with his band, but that was a long time ago. Today, he runs the "Helsinki," a small, smoky bar in a nameless (East) German city. Aside from the bar, a few friends, and his memories, little remains for him. When his bar is shut down, Ole embarks on a journey to the Czech Republic. It becomes a time travel to the darkest point of his past: in 1987, he tried to flee to the West with his 16-year-old girlfriend Nancy across the green border when he was 17. Nancy lost her life in the process...
