Occupational health protection in daycare centers is a pressing issue, considering that the number of workplace accidents there has more than doubled in recent years, contrary to the general trend. Additionally, there is the realization that daycare centers present numerous health risks for the professionals working there, such as exceptionally high noise levels, unhealthy postures, and significant stress factors. Like few other areas of law, occupational health and safety is characterized by a high density of regulations, starting from European law and ending with collective agreements, as well as a multitude of stakeholders who want and need to be involved. The authors provide an overview of potential health hazards and sources of danger in daycare workplaces. They explain the legal framework and offer guidance.
