Many people ask pragmatically: 'What does faith bring to my life? Does it help me to develop to my fullest potential, or does it block me?' The word 'salvation' has faded into an abstract null word today. This work engages with a question from a dogmatic-soteriological perspective that is crucial not only for the Christian faith and the Christian religion: Does faith bring salvation? The discussion revolves around the claim of salvation of the Christian religion and the message of salvation from its founder, of whom it is said: 'There is no other name by which salvation can be found.' The examination of theologians Eugen Biser and Eugen Drewermann, biblical revelation, and selected models from church history, human sciences, and natural sciences makes it clear why the Christian faith is primarily to be understood as a healing and salvific faith.
