Cath and Wren are identical twins who have done everything together until recently. Now they are at university, and Wren has decided that she no longer wants to be half of a pair – she wants to dance, meet boys, go to parties, and let loose. For Cath, this isn't so easy. She is terribly shy and has always retreated into the fanfiction she writes, where she knows exactly what to say and can create a romance that is much more intense than anything she has experienced in real life. Without Wren, Cath is completely on her own and far outside her comfort zone. She has a grumpy roommate with a charming, ever-present boyfriend, a creative writing professor who thinks fanfiction is the end of civilized society, and a handsome classmate who only wants to talk about words.
