The second volume of this beautifully designed collector's edition contains the long-out-of-print volumes Schwulcomix 3 and 4, as well as a selection of the legendary Bodo & Heinz comics, which König illustrated for many years for the mining magazine Arbeit + Sicherheit, three of his Safer Sex comics, and all stories about Norbert Brommer, the first individually developed Knollennase in König's work. Additionally, there are further, partly unpublished extras. While the first volume documented the rather quirky backstory of the Knollennasen, things are now really getting started. Ralf König shares in his foreword about the years leading up to the breakthrough with Der bewegte Mann. Regarding Der junge König Vol. 1, the stern Stefan Pannor commented on his blog: "Der junge König closes the loop, making the previous work understandable. It makes it clear how themes and ideas are interwoven in the work of the best.".
