Product details

The Brothers Grimm and H.C. Andersen certainly never imagined that their fairy tales would one day serve as inspiration for Dagmar Hermann and take place in the 21st century. These wonderful stories speak for themselves. But the cherry on top are the beautiful illustrations by the author and her granddaughter Miriam Esdohr for each story.

First, we have Emperor Kokolores and his new clothes. He ruled over the land called Wirsindwer, which is located in the heart of Europe. The two equally clever and talented tailor apprentices, Wusel and Waste, had a plan. The bored Princess Rosemunde from the castle in the realm of Klumperdeick is a sweet seventeen. On a mild spring day, as Rosemunde once again languidly swatted at the houseflies with a golden fly swatter while reclining on the silk sofa, she began her usual lament: 'I am sooooooo bored!', on that day, something extraordinary was about to happen.

The story of the Pied Piper has a moral. In Hämela, a sleepy little town where the clock hands seemed to have stopped, modern times suddenly broke in, bringing with them many rats and Valentin. What happened next...

In the fairy tale 'The Frog Prince,' we arrive in the kingdom of Plattafundien. A fantastic story unfolded there, which is the daily bread of gossip columns. Wherever one went, one was greeted with an excited 'Have you heard?' and the news spread like wildfire in all directions.
