Consequently, constant training in tactics at a high level is essential for ambitious players who want to assert themselves in tournament play and achieve success there. This training work does not aim to impart fundamental tactical knowledge. Rather, it is aimed at advanced players who wish to engage intensively with complicated and profound tactical topics in order to optimize their skills in this area. The selected examples and exercises on attacking techniques and transformations are sometimes so complex that lengthy and no longer calculable analyses during actual play are required to uncover the truth.
