Product details
The young artist Gustav Glander becomes a star of the Eat-Art movement in 1990s New York. His culinary-inspired works and actions are spectacular productions that resonate with the times. Critics and collectors flock to the works of the reticent German. However, the success makes him uneasy. After a flight back home, Glander disappears without a trace. Twelve years later: A restaurant in Hamburg. The kitchen and service are bustling. In the dining room sits the well-known art critic Gerd Möninghaus. One of the other guests seems strangely familiar to him. Too late, Möninghaus realizes: Could that be Glander? Shortly thereafter, previously unknown sketches by the missing artist appear at the editorial office, prompting the dedicated journalist to investigate. His search takes him from Hamburg to New York, to St. Moritz, to Lake Constance, and beyond.
