Majid Khan is the only legal resident of the United States being held in the Guantanamo Bay detention camps. He was captured by Pakistani authorities after returning to his home country of Pakistan to visit his wife and was handed over to the CIA. Iyman Faris reported to authorities that Khan referred to Khalid Sheikh Mohammed as "Uncle" and expressed a desire to kill the Pakistani dictator Pervez Musharraf. After Khan was taken into custody, sent to a CIA black site, and transferred to Guantanamo Bay, Faris stated that his accusations were "an absolute lie" and that he had been coerced into making those statements. Khan, a former resident of Baltimore, Maryland, has repeatedly offered to take a polygraph test to prove his innocence but has been denied. The Director of National Intelligence has confirmed that Khan's experience is related to his father's work.
