Is there really no alternative to the modern way of thinking, which posits that everything originates from humans and can be traced back to them, or is it time to move beyond it? Can humans recognize the world as it is, or can they only construct a world interpreted through a human lens? The modern era and modernity started from a fundamental autonomy and otherness of humanity, which logically led to the conclusion that our adaptation to the world can only result in a world constructed by us, rather than the actual world. In contrast, this book presents the fundamental interconnectedness of humans with the world from a consistently evolutionist perspective. Following this revision of anthropology, the implications for a novel ontology and epistemology are outlined.
