Moderators guide groups in solving issues at the process level. In doing so, the moderator exercises restraint in terms of content. In strategy development, it is also a fundamental requirement that they are familiar with and can confidently apply numerous business models and analyses to successfully support their groups in collecting, evaluating, and selecting solution approaches within the framework of strategic initiatives, and to implement these as change programs or growth initiatives in operational reality. To this end, the author presents methods, tools, processes, and structuring aids that empower readers to successfully moderate strategy workshops and retreats. They develop an understanding of strategic corporate management, complemented by knowledge of roles, tasks, and tools in business moderation. They are enabled to do so.
